Bangalore, also known as Bengaluru, is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is India's third-largest city. Bangalore is a large, cosmopolitan city with diminishing green spaces and a large working population. Bangalore is the major center of India's IT industry, popularly known as the Silicon Valley of India. Although Bangalore is not known as a tourist city, there is still a lot to see. The city’s main landmarks are the legislative House of the State of Karnataka, the majestic Vidhana Soudha, the ultra-modern Vikasa Soudha adjacent to Vidhana Soudha, Seshadari Iyer Memorial, Bangalore Palace, Tipu Sultan's Palace, the Bull Temple, the Maha Bodhi Society Temple and the Dodda Ganapathi, one of the oldest temples in Bangalore. Bangalore is an impressive, cosmopolitan city with numerous parks and fountains. Modern building have sometimes replaced vegetation but the city is still lined up with trees and flowers and is often referred to as the Garden City of India.
